Miro Manufactura de Cafe

The industrial interior of Miro Manufactura de Cafe, concrete pillars, exposed piping, and a long communal counter with the roaster visible

A working roastery you can watch from the counter, in Zurich's Langstrasse district, Kreis 4's grittier, nightlife driven answer to the manicured city center around Bahnhofstrasse. Miro roasts its own beans daily on site, and the shop is built as much around the production side of the business as the counter service, with the roasting equipment visible rather than tucked into a back room most customers never see. Bags of the day's roast, along with house merchandise, are sold directly from the attached shop, making this one of the more transparent roaster to cup setups in the city.

The industrial showroom look (steel, exposed machinery, functional rather than decorative) fits a business that treats roasting as the main event and the cafe as the natural extension of it. Weekday mornings run long, closing mid afternoon rather than staying open into the evening, and weekends keep a shorter, steadier schedule.
