Boréal Coffee Talacker

The boréal coffee shop logo hand drawn on a white column beside a wood paneled counter, red pendant lamps overhead and a grinder on the right

Boréal brought Geneva's specialty coffee pioneers to Zurich with this Talacker shop near Sihlstrasse, a sofa filled room with plenty of workstations and charging points. The coffee is roasted by hand every week at Boréal's Geneva roastery and sourced organic and direct from partner cooperatives through Roasters United, the direct sourcing collective Boréal co founded in 2012, and the menu spans both fast and slow specialty coffee, with homemade bagels and healthy vegan options alongside.

The room carries the brand's hand drawn character, from the logo painted on the white column to the hexagon boards explaining V60, AeroPress and cold drip brewing, a gentle invitation to learn how your cup is made. Boréal has been at the forefront of Swiss specialty coffee for more than a decade, and its mission to make specialty coffee accessible to everybody shows in how welcoming the space feels.
