Eli's Caffe

The bar at Eli's Caffe with a chalkboard menu and purple Eliscaffe sign above a black La Marzocco machine, grinders full of beans, a row of black cups, syphons and a light oak counter with two small plants under cone shaped pendant lamps

Eli's Caffe opened on Ilica in 2005 as Croatia's first specialty coffee bar, the work of Nik Orosi, a four time Croatian Barista Champion who also took the 2008 World Baristas Choice Award. Roasting followed in 2009, and the shop now imports, roasts and distributes its own coffee under a simple motto, no logo, just taste.

The room is a compact vaulted space with a bar, a chalkboard menu and the roaster visible in an alcove at the back. The list runs from espresso and single origin espresso to cappuccino, Chemex and syphon brewed for two, plus cold brew, with whole bean and ground coffee sold at the counter.
