Lumen Coffee

Lumen Coffee opened in Yerevan on Teryan Street, tucked into a residential courtyard, founded by Arthur Lumen and Shant Ghazar to lift coffee culture in their hometown. Their first roaster, a Giesen W5A, was paid for by a 2020 crowdfunding campaign that pre sold 33,000 espressos before the doors opened, and the first year was spent at this address.

Lumen has since added a second Yerevan cafe in a restored 1936 building on Mashtots Avenue, plus a roastery and cafes in Los Angeles, but Teryan remains the original, a bright minimalist room serving espresso and filter coffee. It is open every day from half past eight until half past ten in the evening.
