Pingze Coffee

Pingze started in 2013 as a private coffee operation run out of an office space before opening its first storefront in the summer of 2016, on the eleventh floor of the Lijiacun Wanda Plaza building on Yanta North Road, next to the elevator. The owner built the bar around a custom ordered La Marzocco espresso machine and filled the pour over station with Hario gear alongside Takahiro and Noda enamel kettles, equipment choices aimed more at daily practice than display.

The single origin pour over list changes with what is in stock, usually running three to four beans on any given day, while the wider menu leans on milk based espresso drinks as the main draw for regulars. A rainbow cheesecake and a tiramisu round out the small food list, giving the eleventh floor room something to pair with the rotating pour over without turning the space into a full cafe menu.
