The Coffee Bar Golden Triangle

The Coffee Bar opened its second shop in October 2015 on 17th Street in the Golden Triangle, three years after the first one in Shaw. Founder Cait Lowry wanted the easy going feel of a neighborhood coffee shop to survive the bustle of downtown, so the room works as a place where everyone gets treated like a regular, even on the way to an office.

As at the original shop, the coffee comes from several roasters at once rather than one house roaster, with Ceremony Coffee Roasters and Onyx among the partners, and the lineup changes with the seasons. The menu sticks to classic espresso drinks with a few signature additions, and the staff do not do grande. The downtown shop keeps weekday hours and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
