Rare Bird Coffee Roasters

Rare Bird Coffee Roasters is a small specialty roaster and bakery on West Broad Street in Falls Church, just outside the District. The name celebrates the differences in both coffee and people, and the shop was set up as a comfortable place to share high quality coffee and food with neighbors and visitors.

All of the coffee is bought from small importers who share the same values and roasted to a degree that keeps what is distinctive in each lot. The shelf carries single origins from Colombia, Ethiopia and India alongside a decaf and the Birdie Blend, and the cafe pours the same coffees with pastries from its own bakery. The walls host rotating art shows, and brew guides and classes are offered for anyone who wants to improve their coffee at home.
