Ebenezers Coffeehouse

Ebenezers Coffeehouse has stood on F Street NE near Union Station since March 2006, in a brick building from 1909 that first served travelers heading to Union Station as a small diner and then sat empty for twenty five years before its restoration. The shop describes itself as coffee with a cause, and all of its profits go to humanitarian work around the world.
In 2023 the team began roasting its own beans, and the retail shelf now lists single origin and organic lots, among them Finca La Hermosa and a decaf from Amatenango. The cafe opens at six every morning and closes at six in the evening. Beans, mugs and other goods are available online as well, and customers can add a Give A Cup to buy coffee for someone else.
