Typika

Sunlit interior of Typika in Wola with pale wooden chairs, white tables, tiled steps and tall glass walls looking out over the Warsaw skyline

Typika in Wola is the Warsaw branch of a specialty coffee brand that began in Prague and Brno, with its own roastery behind the beans. The cafe sits on Kolejowa as part of the 19th District development, close to the second metro line, in a double height room with tall glass walls and a view across the changing Warsaw skyline.

Pale wood chairs and white tables fill the ground floor, with a tiled stepped seating platform, a mezzanine reached by a mesh railed staircase and plants everywhere. Hours are the same every day, nine until eight, and tables can be reserved, so it works as well for a slow brunch with friends as for a quick espresso on the way to the metro.
