Teso Coffee (Mała kawiarnia)

Shelves in the Teso cafe lined with white bags of Teso roasted coffee, each marked with the Teso logo, in warm plywood cubbies

Mała kawiarnia is the Praga home of Teso, a roastery founded by head roaster Kuba Poręcki after sixteen years in specialty coffee, including time at Koppi in Sweden and as head roaster at Lilla Kafferosteriet in Malmö. Beans are roasted on a Vietnamese OTL-12 and lean toward the clean, floral, and juicy side of the spectrum, served as two espressos on a La Marzocco Strada, several filter coffees, and Tesoro on V60.

The founding team built the room themselves, laying the tiles and painting the ceilings with inspiration from trips to Latin America, which gives the cafe its warm red, green, and wood palette. Teso's bags line the shelves, snacks come from friendly local kitchens, a few weekends bring pop up events, and anyone who buys beans or collects a shop order drinks their coffee on the house.
