Ministerstwo Kawy

Opened in 2011, Ministerstwo Kawy is one of the founding names of Warsaw's third wave scene, tucked into the Plac Zbawiciela district in a small, minimalist room built for people who take their coffee seriously. The cafe hosted the Polish AeroPress Championships three years running, in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and counts a run of former baristas who went on to open their own cafes and roasteries across Poland and beyond among its alumni.

Since 2025, a second location in Stare Bielany has started roasting in house on a ROEST P3000, currently the only machine of its kind in the country, alongside beans bought in from Koppi, Gardelli, Right Side, and Good Coffee. A Brazil Mogila runs as the house espresso and an Ethiopia Hella Bella as the filter option. Laptops are restricted to a handful of designated seats on weekdays and banned outright on weekends, a policy that keeps the small space usable for people who just want to sit and drink their coffee.
