Kawiarnia Dobra Materia

Dobra Materia is a neighbourhood cafe on Nowolipki in the heart of Muranów, pouring specialty coffee from Polish roasters rather than a single house supplier. Its calendar leans toward the coffee itself, with cupping evenings this autumn built around roasters such as Idylla, Heresy and Teso, so the beans on the bar are not meant to stand still for long.

The cafe keeps a short run of its own drinks as well, including a dirty coffee served over evaporated cow's milk that it describes as thicker and sweeter than the usual kind. Cakes, vegan ones among them, sit beside the coffee, beans can be taken home, and the doors open at 7:30 on weekdays before a later start at the weekend.
