The Good Coffee Society Lab

The Alsergrund branch of a Vienna coffee group, a bright room with a pale wood floor, white walls and globe lights. A green fronted counter and an orange espresso machine anchor the back, and a menu board above the bar lists the espresso drinks alongside the filter options.

The beans come from a rotating cast of roasters from around the world, together with the group's own roasts, and the shelves stock bags to take home. Round tables and light blue chairs fill the front by the windows, and breakfast is served too. Open every day, it suits a long afternoon over a slowly brewed cup. It is open seven days a week and closes at 17:00, while the group's other branches in Mariahilf and the Leopoldstadt keep their own hours.
