Süssmund Kaffee

The shop and coffee bar of a Vienna roastery, tucked into Rauhensteingasse a few steps from Stephansplatz. The roasting happens at the edge of the city on a handmade drum roaster from Greece, a slow method the team chose because it develops more complex aromas than fast industrial roasting, and every coffee gets its own roast profile.

In the shop you can taste the range as espresso or fresh filter and take the beans home, sorted into three simple styles: fruity and complex, balanced and sweet, or dark and full. The sourcing leans on direct trade lots, such as coffee from a family farm in Brazil, a national park area in Nicaragua and a cooperative in Mexico.
