Kafana Coffee & Roastery

A café with its own roaster on Heinestraße in the Leopoldstadt, opened on 27 September 2025. The owner roasts everything himself in the café, on an electric Bellwether roaster, and the beans come from Brazil, Ethiopia, Colombia and Guatemala.

The coffee list includes a decaf and a wide filter range. The striped awning, arched window and a black and white hanging sign mark the corner, close to the Praterstern. It is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, and the Saturday hours are posted on the shop's Instagram profile. Its own website carries just the address and a map link. Kafana is the Balkan word for a neighbourhood tavern or coffee house.
