GOTA Coffee Experts

Founded in 2017 by siblings Katharina and her brother alongside Katharina's husband Junior, who grew up around coffee plantations in Peru, GOTA runs its own roasting operation on a stretch of Mariahilfer Straße far enough from the tourist heavy central blocks to feel like a genuine neighborhood fixture rather than a destination stop. The Peruvian connection shows up directly on the menu: a weekend breakfast built around dishes from Junior's childhood, alongside single origin lots from Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, Kenya, and Costa Rica roasted in house.

The shop has placed repeatedly in the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops rankings, among the few Viennese entries to do so more than once. Bagged beans are sold both in store and through an online shop. Open every day of the week, with a slightly later start on weekends.
