Caffè a Casa Servitengasse

The original Servitengasse coffee bar of a small Vienna group that roasts its own coffee. It was among the early new wave cafés in the city, and the beans are roasted at the group's own roastery in Klosterneuburg, then served as rotating coffees from small farms and cooperatives.
The bar sits on a quiet street in the Servitenviertel, in a grand old Alsergrund building with the name set in large letters across the glass. The group runs several coffee bars across Vienna, so this one is the neighbourhood address. It opens at 07:30 on weekdays and 08:00 at weekends, closes at 18:30 every day, and sells its beans in bags for home brewing. The group also runs bars at Hoher Markt, Börseplatz and Obkirchergasse, and its roastery in Klosterneuburg keeps Wednesday morning hours.
