BEANDEPENDENT

A coffee shop and micro roastery on the corner of Lessinggasse and Vereinsgasse, close to the Volkertmarkt. It opened in the summer of 2024 and the room is deliberately bare: white vaulted walls, a pale floor and a single blue textured bar, with nothing to pull your eye away from the cup.

Everything poured here is roasted in house in small batches, tailored to the brew method it is meant for, and the same beans can be bought to take home. The menu keeps to espresso classics, a few modern drinks and hand brewed filter, with iced variations when summer arrives. The doors are open on weekdays only, so it suits a slow weekday stop. The shop is closed at weekends and on public holidays.
