Verona · Affi, on Lake Garda, about 25km from central Verona
Caffè Ro.En

Caffè Roen has roasted on the shores of Lake Garda, in the province of Verona, since 1979, running two labels, Caffè Roen and Espresso Bendinelli, out of the same artisan plant in Affi. Every batch is packaged within 24 hours of roasting to slow the oxidation that dulls a bean's aromas once it is ground, and the shop's own blends have picked up recent recognition, including an International Taste Institute award from Brussels in 2026 for its Extra Bar line.
The tasting room in Affi sells whole bean blends and single origins for both home and professional machines, spanning a 100 percent Arabica line through to darker, robusta heavy blends like Gran Bar, plus single origin lots from India's Malabar coast and Indonesia's Flores island. Roen also runs workshops, courses and tastings on site for anyone willing to make the roughly 25 kilometer trip out from central Verona toward the lake, more a roastery visit than a quick coffee stop.
