Modus Coffee Roasters

The pink walled counter at Modus Coffee Roasters, with a row of pour over drippers on the wood bar and coffee bags and mugs on the shelf above

Modus was founded by Sharif, a founding partner of Pallet Coffee Roasters, and Jess, a longtime cafe manager, and the West Broadway shop reflects that roasting background: no blends and no dark roasts on the board, just single origin coffee sorted into a handful of flavor categories and brewed through a Cafec Flower dripper built for clarity in the cup.

The room itself is small and pink walled, closer to a neighborhood nook than a roastery showroom, with a short food menu that leans toward brunch items when the kitchen is running. Roasted beans are sold by the bag in house and through the shop's online pickup site, and a second roastery and cafe location operates further out in Burnaby for the same lineup with more roasting capacity on display.
