Kir Royal Cafe

The KIR ROYAL storefront sign on a stone Valletta street with yellow stools out front

Kir Royal softens Valletta's old stone walls and exposed timber with bright prints and a signature yellow palette, small and cheerful in a city of honey colored facades. Pistachio croissants and a well loved flat white anchor the menu, alongside a CBD cappuccino among the more unusual options on offer.

Espresso tonic and seasonal trend drinks rotate through alongside the regulars, the happy, harmonious atmosphere as much a draw as any single order. It closes Sundays, keeping a six day rhythm typical of the smaller independent rooms scattered through the capital's side streets.
