Clem Café

Maitu from Argentina, Ana from Mexico and Benoit from France met at a brunch event in Valencia in February 2024 and opened Clem Café that September. Ana and Benoit had worked together at Mirazur on the French Riviera, she on pastry and he on wine, and Benoit also built the wooden tables, shelves and seating that fill the room. The peach coloured arched entrance on Calle Cuenca, a nod to Valencia's citrus, opens onto a space with local art on the walls and a rotating gallery of exhibitions.

The coffee comes from Valencia roaster Nobil, with a changing line of single origins such as Colombia, Guatemala and a plum noted natural Ethiopia, served as espresso, filter and cold brew with bags to take home. Ana bakes daily, from cinnamon rolls and carrot cake with mascarpone and miso caramel to toasties and eggs, and a terrace on the street makes it an easy place to linger.
