The Village Coffee & Music

The Village opened on Voorstraat in 2011 and has held its place as one of the originals of Utrecht's specialty coffee scene ever since, still drawing crowds well over a decade later. A restored 1955 Probat UG15 does the roasting for the shop's own Village Roastery, turning out small batch blends named Outsider and Renegade alongside weekly filters and rotating espresso.

Coffee shares billing with music here, live in house sessions turn the bar into a small venue on a regular basis, a pairing the shop has built its identity around from the start. The cute street setting and steady stream of regulars have kept it a fixture of the old town rather than a novelty that faded once the initial buzz wore off.
