Dagger Coffee

Dagmar Geerlings runs Dagger as a female led roastery and cafe, a standalone building overlooking the water in Pijlsweerd that's rare for Utrecht's mostly street level cafe scene. The team leans deliberately toward locally sourced ingredients and coffees produced by women, a sourcing choice that shapes the shelf as much as the menu.

Everything on the food side is made in house, and the shop has built a reputation as one of the better all around cups in the city rather than leaning on any single signature drink. The gezellig, homely feel that regulars mention most is as much a function of the standalone building and water view as anything on the menu.
