Cupp

Peter Braakman discovered coffee almost by accident, doing a marketing internship in Australia and finding he couldn't sit still behind a desk, so he spent his free time exploring cafes instead. He came home and ran a Doppio franchise on Nobelstraat for five years before deciding to go independent, opening Cupp at the same address in January 2019 to focus more fully on specialty coffee.

The shop sources from a rotating list of guest roasters rather than sticking to one name, alongside brunch, sweets, and the occasional coffee workshop. Nobelstraat remains the original location and the story's starting point, a first stop before Cupp expanded to a second spot elsewhere in the city.
