Café Art

Café Art fills a row of small rooms right on the Aura River, an art cafe that has hung rotating exhibitions on its walls since 1992 inside a riverside building dating back to 1830. Its baristas have taken the national Barista of the Year title seven times, and the coffee behind that record comes from Turun Kahvipaahtimo, a light roast specialty roastery that has supplied the cafe since 2009.

A display case near the counter holds around twenty homemade cakes and savory pies at any given time, restocked through the day, and the terrace over the water fills up fast whenever the sun is out. Bags of the roastery's coffee and loose leaf tea go home with customers too, sold at the counter alongside the pastries.
