Pressato Coffee and Books

A white vaulted room at Pressato with a small shelf of art books, a floor lamp and two black chairs, and a gallery space with framed prints beyond the doorway

Pressato opened in autumn 2023 on the ground floor of Palazzo San Liborio, on a quiet street in the Quadrilatero Romano. Nello Russo and Diego Moriondo built it as a coffee bar and art bookshop in one, with a vintage Faema E61 machine behind the counter and coffee roasted by Maurizio Galiano of Dropstery, a Turin micro roaster.

The shelves hold artist books and work from independent publishers, and the white vaulted rooms behind the bar double as a gallery with a rotating calendar of exhibitions. Exhibitions and the occasional coffee workshop with a tasting share the calendar. It is a calm place to read over a filter coffee, with morning and early afternoon hours that suit a slow start to the day.
