A self-described 'laboratorio' rather than a straightforward cafe, Orso in San Salvario leans into an eclectic, vintage aesthetic — mismatched cups, old-fashioned wallpaper, a room that reads more like a curiosity shop than a design-forward specialty bar. It roasts and packages its own beans, selling both whole bean and pre-ground moka-format coffee through its own online shop as well as in person, and has since expanded to a second Turin location on Via Cagliari.

San Salvario itself is one of Turin's more multicultural, food-forward neighborhoods, a fitting setting for a shop this unconcerned with looking like anyone else's cafe.
