Oishii Coffee

A takeaway coffee cup and a pastry in a branded box held outside Oishii Coffee

Chiara Manghisi opened Oishii after a trip to Japan in 2018 reshaped how she thought about ritual, minimalism, and hospitality, a journey that also gave the shop its name, the Japanese word for tasty or delicious, the phrase she says she heard most often while traveling. She trained under Bugan Coffee, one of the established names in Italian specialty roasting, before finding this small, intimate room in the historic center and turning years of travel into a business.

The shop treats coffee closer to how a wine bar treats a bottle list, tasting single origin cups poured into crystal glassware rather than the usual ceramic, curating just a handful of well chosen lots rather than a long menu. Weekend reservations are recommended for the omakase style tastings, where Chiara guides each cup based on a guest's own taste. Closed Mondays, open the rest of the week from morning into early evening.
