Gocce di Cioccolato

Gocce di Cioccolato has been a pastry shop in Borgo Vittoria, on the northern edge of Turin, since 2002, and its coffee is far more serious than the quiet neighbourhood setting suggests. The beans are specialty lots roasted in the shop's own roastery by Maurizio Galiano of Dropstery, who also supplies the Pressato coffee bar in the Quadrilatero Romano.
The coffee is served as espresso and as filter, beside a counter of fine pastries and chocolate, so a cup here can be a quick standing breakfast at the bar or a slower stop with something sweet. The shop opens early at seven, closes for the middle of the afternoon and reopens until evening, and it is open on Sunday morning, which makes it an easy start to a weekend away from the busier central streets.
