Pharos Coffee

The glass fronted Pharos Coffee in Jimbocho, with a sliding glass door onto a warm room of black chairs, a gallery shelf of framed prints and a grinder on the counter, and pale stools and plants outside

Pharos Coffee is the first Japanese shop from a Taipei roaster, a minimalist, warm room in Jimbocho with natural textures and a gallery corner that hosts rotating exhibitions.

The coffee is light roasted and brewed by hand from a short list of beans, with cold brew as an alternative. Beans are numbered in a series, with some named after composers, and the quiet room suits staying a while.
