Lonich

Lonich opened in 2023 in Kuramae with the aim of offering coffee experiences designed by baristas, preferring to be the best rather than the biggest. The beans come from specialty auctions and from direct relationships with farms, including growers in Yunnan, China.

Quick coffees are available for walk ins, but the shop is best known for its tasting courses, which take guests through carefully sequenced cups and must be booked in advance. A seasonal course, a creative course using Japanese and Chinese ingredients and a course devoted to Geisha lots are on offer, with brewing equipment sold alongside the beans.
