Kiyokazu Suzuki opened Glitch on this Jimbocho corner in 2015 with a single rule that still governs the whole menu, no blends. Every cup is a single origin, roasted light enough to keep the lot's own character intact, and the board changes constantly as new lots from Suzuki's direct trade relationships come through, so a flat white made here today can taste nothing like the one from last month.

Jimbocho is Tokyo's secondhand book district, all narrow storefronts and antiquarian shops, and Glitch fits the neighborhood's quiet, studious energy with a bare concrete counter and a bar facing the street window. Staff walk through origin, processing, and flavor notes for each bean before pulling a shot or setting up a hand drip, treating the counter more like a tasting room than a coffee shop, and the brand has since opened sister locations in Ginza, Nihonbashi, Osaka, and Nagoya.
