Amameria Espresso

Amameria Espresso opened in Musashi Koyama in the summer of 2010 and is run by Toshiaki Ishii, a certified cupping judge and competition barista. The room has exposed brick, concrete walls, wooden floors and an upright piano, and the shop is smoke free.
Amameria roasts its own beans, choosing lots that score 84 points or more on the cupping table, and pulls espresso on a Synesso machine. Roasting is treated as the heart of the shop, built to draw fruit and sweetness out of each coffee.
