Single Estate Coffee Roasters

Single Estate Coffee Roasters runs its flagship bar on Piet Heinstraat in the Zeeheldenkwartier, the street level showcase for a roasting operation that sources coffee estate by estate rather than blending across farms. A ModBar system sits behind the counter, feeding espresso drinks made with beans roasted a short distance away, alongside handmade croissants and a small breakfast and lunch menu.

Barista Wendelien van Bunnik, a World Aeropress Champion, has worked behind this bar, and the shop is regularly named among the city's more serious coffee destinations for putting a working roastery front and center rather than tucking it away. It opens early and keeps the same hours every day of the week.
