Kaffila

Kaffila runs its espresso and filter program on beans from the Swedish roastery Johan and Nystrom, poured inside a Tampere city center room set in a building carrying some of the ornamental detail the city's older commercial architecture is known for. A long tea list sits alongside the coffee menu, unusual for a shop this size and popular enough with regulars that it's become as much a draw as the espresso itself.

A weekend breakfast spread runs Saturday and Sunday mornings, yoghurt, granola, and smoothies laid out alongside croissants and pastries for a flat price. Both indoor and outdoor seating stay open through long daily hours, running from morning well into the evening every day of the week, making Kaffila as workable a spot for a late coffee as an early one.
