Padre Coffee Paddington

Padre began in Melbourne in 2008 under former software engineer Marinus Jansen, and its first Sydney home sits at Paddington's Five Ways inside a roughly ninety year old shopfront. The black painted frontage opens onto a bright, compact room built as a coffee concept store, where a counter brew bar, a wall of home brewing gear and a dedicated training space all share the one floor.
Seasonal espresso blends and single origins are poured as espresso and filter, with pastries and treats from Sydney bakeries alongside, and the retail wall stocks bags of Padre beans next to grinders, brewers and scales for anyone wanting to take the habit home. It is as welcoming to a casual flat white drinker as to the hand grinder crowd, and the training space hosts events for people who want to learn more.
