Mecca Coffee Alexandria

Mecca began as a small espresso bar in 2005 and grew into one of Sydney's most influential specialty roasters, and this Bourke Road warehouse in Alexandria is its headquarters. It is described by the team as the heart of Mecca Coffee, with roasting and service under one roof, so the beans in your cup have usually been roasted a few steps from where you sit.

The house blend is served daily alongside a rotating lineup from the Producer Series, a run of single lots from named farms and producers in places such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Honduras, and a seasonal menu from the kitchen is built to go with the coffee. Bags of the house blend and Producer Series coffees are on sale to take home, and tables can be booked for those who want a longer visit.
