Tanamera traces back to 2013, when Dini Aryani Criddle opened a small roastery and cafe in a Jakarta office park with a crop to cup approach that stays hands on from the farm through the roast. The company has since picked up more than fifty industry awards, including two Champion International Roaster titles at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, and the Graha Famili store is one of its West Surabaya outposts, spread across two floors of indoor and semi open seating.

The house draws people in with draft coffee, a nitro style pour served cold and smooth in under ten seconds, alongside the usual espresso and filter list built on beans sourced directly from Indonesian growers. A food menu built around Indonesian plates, fried rice, fritters, croissants, runs alongside the coffee, and the semi outdoor floor stays a popular spot for working through the afternoon.
