Muhammad Syafiq Zusmi was already selling coffee on the side while studying at UPN Veteran Surabaya, working stalls around ITS years before he left an office job to open Kofind in 2017. The roastery now works directly with farmer groups across the archipelago, roasting single origin lots from places like Kerinci, Pasirjambu and Siberteng in house rather than buying finished green coffee through a broker.

The bar runs manual brew alongside espresso, V60 and AeroPress both on the regular menu, with a rotating lineup of anaerobic natural and washed lots labelled by growing region and process. The house espresso blend, Orangenut, leans into berry and milk chocolate notes with a butterscotch finish.
