Lykke Nytorget

Lykke Nytorget sits on the square at Nytorget in Sodermalm, the retail and tasting room for Lykke Kaffegardar, a company that grows its own coffee on farms in El Salvador, Panama, the Andes, Brazil, and East Africa before roasting it at a converted coal power station in Hokarangen. A pink corrugated counter, checkered floor, and hanging plants set the tone for a room that doubles as coffee shop, bakery counter, and bar under one roof.

Coffee and fresh baked goods run through the day alongside flatbreads, brunch plates, cocktails, and craft beer, with live music turning the later hours into something closer to a neighborhood bar. Beans and tea from the company's own farms are sold to go, keeping the focus on the coffee even as the menu widens toward evening.
