Kersh

Kersh started as a roastery before opening its first coffee bar in spring 2025, taking over a 20 square metre former tobacco shop on Gotgatan, one of Sodermalm's main north south streets. The old TOBAK signage still hangs above the door, kept rather than stripped out, and the bar itself is built for standing room, a handful of people at a time rather than a sit down cafe.

Espresso is the main draw, alongside an espresso tonic in summer and an iced latte regulars call the best in the city, plus retail bags of the house roast to take home. It reads more like a speakeasy tucked into an old theatre than a typical Sodermalm coffee stop, chic and compact, with an early five o'clock close.
