Ivana and Marko, wedding photographers before they were coffee roasters, started kava.family and have since grown it into one of Croatia's more recognized national names in specialty coffee. kava2 is the public facing shop attached to the brand's Ante Starčevića site, a separate roastery and production space around the corner running as an education center and warehouse rather than a walk in room.

Outdoor seating and wheelchair access make kava2 an easier stop than some of Split's older, narrower coffee spaces, and the long weekday hours, open into the evening most nights, suit a full range of visits. Beans roasted just around the corner anchor the menu, sold both by the cup and to take home.
