Nylon Coffee Roasters

Founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Dennis Tang and Jia Min Lee, who left careers in IT and banking and named the shop for New York and London, the two cities where they had built those earlier careers, Nylon opened as a micro roastery in a quiet HDB void deck in Everton Park in 2012. It has become something of a pilgrimage stop since, roasting small batches every Wednesday and Friday on a restored Probat L5 shipped over from Germany.

The emphasis throughout is on direct, transparent relationships with producers rather than a rotating guest roaster model. Bagged beans are sold both online and at the counter. Closed Tuesdays, tucked into the kind of unassuming void deck address that gives Singapore's public housing blocks their own quiet specialty coffee circuit.
