Homeground Coffee Roasters

Started in November 2017 as an online only platform aimed at lowering the barrier to home brewing, Homeground later opened a physical shop on Joo Chiat Road, then moved to a two unit shophouse on Teo Hong Road combining cafe, retail, and training space. That location closed in April 2024, and the brand reopened in March 2025 at this Bukit Timah address under a reworked format: an 'Experience Room' built around guided bean sampling rather than a casual social cafe.

Roasting happens at a dedicated facility elsewhere in Singapore, with this Bukit Timah room functioning as a tasting and retail space where customers can sample beans before buying to brew at home. Set inside the Tan Chong Motors compound near Sixth Avenue, it is a quieter, more considered visit than the shop's earlier iterations, built for people who want to choose a bag carefully rather than grab a quick cup.
