Common Man Coffee Roasters

Founded in 2013 by Harry Grover, who brought specialty coffee to Singapore by way of Forty Hands after relocating from Perth in 2010, Common Man opened this Robertson Quay flagship in partnership with Australian roaster Five Senses Coffee and the Spa Esprit Group. The operation has since grown into a full academy for training baristas, a wholesale supplier, and a small chain with international outposts in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila, but the Martin Road address remains the original roastery and cafe.

An industrial chic room with wood accents anchors what has become one of Robertson Quay's more established riverside destinations. Beans are roasted on site and sold both in cafe and online. Dogs are welcome at the roughly forty seats in the sheltered outdoor section, though not in the indoor dining room.
