Apartment Coffee

Founded in 2018 by Yeo Qing He, who won gold at Singapore's National Brewers Cup that same year and placed sixth at the World Brewers Cup in Brazil, Apartment Coffee has become one of the standout names in the region's specialty scene. As of the 2026 World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list, unveiled at CoffeeFest Madrid, it ranked sixth globally and first in Asia for the second year running.

The room itself is deliberately spare: an all white interior built around natural light from a 180-degree window, with the shape and weight of every cup and vessel considered as carefully as the coffee itself. Unusually for the format, Apartment doesn't roast on site, instead using a shared facility run by Compound Coffee on a 6-kilogram Giesen roaster. There's no food menu at all, coffee is the entire point. A separate, weekend only roasting concept called Apartment Roastery has since opened in Serangoon under the same team, a distinct address from this Selegie Road cafe.
