Big Sur Coffee

Big Sur Coffee occupies a two storey corner house on Yongjia Lu, a stone fronted heritage building with an arched relief above the door and large windows that glow warmly at dusk. It is the café side of a Shanghai roastery, and the bar keeps its focus on carefully sourced coffee served as filter or espresso.
The roastery buys green coffee through direct relationships with producers and roasts on Loring machines, with a changing list that leans on Panama Geisha and Ethiopian lots. Beans are sold through the roastery's online shop, and the café keeps long daytime hours, opening at noon on Mondays and at nine the rest of the week.
