Syra Coffee - Las Setas

Architect Yassir Rais founded Syra in Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood in 2015 with a simple goal, make specialty coffee an everyday habit rather than an occasional treat, and the company has since grown past forty locations across Spain. The Las Setas branch sits in the shadow of the Metropol Parasol, a sleek, pared back room built around a short menu of single origin, one hundred percent arabica coffee sourced directly from small farms and roasted under Syra's own control from selection through to the cup.
Flat whites and iced lattes are the draw for the steady stream of visitors passing the Setas above, poured alongside banana bread and other grab and go pastries kept intentionally simple. Plant based milk is standard rather than a modification, and the shop's compact footprint keeps most orders moving out the door rather than settling in for long.
