Fritz Coffee Company Dohwa

Fritz Coffee Company opened its Dohwa branch inside a converted two story traditional Korean mansion in Mapo-gu, one of seven locations the group now runs across Seoul and on Jeju. The company was built by a baker, a coffee buyer and a barista champion working together, and the Dohwa room keeps that three way split visible, with a bakery case up front, a long bar pulling filter and espresso through the middle, and a courtyard garden carrying the original hanok layout into the seating plan.

The beans are Fritz's own roast, sold as whole bags at the counter beside the pastries that built the brand's name, including a chocolate scone and a kouign amann. Espresso runs on a rotating house blend, single origin pour overs are available on request, and the room fills fast enough on weekend mornings that a short wait for a table is normal.
